ADJA Code of Professional Conduct

As a member of the ADJA, I commit myself to business excellence and will:

•  Operate my business in an ethically sound manner while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.
•  Abide by all laws and regulations governing my professional activities.
•  Use legal forms of music and performance materials in the conduct of my entertainment services.
•  Be honest and realistic conveying talent, abilities, and level of services to my clients.
•  Deliver products and services to my clients, as promised, to the best of my abilities.
•  Use a written contract clearly stating all charges, services, products, performance expectations and other essential information.
•  Provide a safe work environment with adequate protection for my clients & their guests.
•  Maintain adequate and appropriate insurance coverage for all business activities.

   Agencies hire subcontracters who may not follow these code of ethics. Their interest is to find the cheapest DJ to work for them so they get a higher percentage. It is unfortunate that some clients are receiving subpar DJs disguised as professional.

   DJ Billy Zee is a member of the national ADJA and the local BADJA chapter. He is also a member of the BADJA board of directors.

What is the American Disc Jockey Association?

The ADJA is an association of professional mobile entertainers. The mission of the American Disc Jockey Association is to encourage success for its members through continuous education, camaraderie, and networking. We believe that through involvement in this professional organization, DJ’s achieve more as a group than they can individually. The American Disc Jockey Association is an organization of professional Disc Jockeys.

Goals of the A.D.J.A.

The primary goal of The American Disc Jockey Association is to educate Disc Jockeys so that each member acts ethically and responsibly. We would also like to educate consumers on how to go about choosing a true professional Disc Jockey.

Association members have already invested their time and money to become a member. This indicates that each member is a serious business person. We are confident our members will provide you with the best possible entertainment for your affair.
